Crocosmia, Oak & Stoneware Spoon
 
To the rear of the pottery studio is a row of Oak trees.
 
I harvested storm fallen branches and Crocosmia leaves which were dried and braided into cordage under the Cornish sun. 
 
Due to the nature if the plant fibre and wood, this spoon is not for using with fluids and just to wipe clean. 
 
The plant cordage will in time dry further and should ideally be kept in dry conditions to support this, the colour may also fade especially when drying in stronger light.
